The Guidance and Counseling (BK) Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to delivering excellent, student-centered academic services. This commitment is reflected in the results of the 2024 student satisfaction survey, which indicate satisfactory to highly satisfactory performance across all levels of study, including undergraduate (S1), master’s (S2), and doctoral (S3) programs.

The survey, conducted by UNY’s Directorate of Quality Assurance, assessed four main dimensions of academic services: responsiveness, reliability, empathy, and assurance. The results show that students of the Guidance and Counseling Program awarded average scores ranging from 3.3 to 3.7, indicating that academic services have been delivered effectively and in line with student expectations.

At the undergraduate (S1) and master’s (S2) levels, students rated the academic services as satisfactory, with particular appreciation for the aspects of empathy and service assurance. Meanwhile, doctoral (S3) students provided higher evaluations, achieving highly satisfactory ratings across all service dimensions. This serves as clear evidence that the Guidance and Counseling Program at UNY not only maintains service quality but continues to enhance it in response to evolving student needs.

Student feedback—such as the need to strengthen digital services, improve access to academic information, and further develop facilities and infrastructure—has received serious attention from the program. This approach aligns with the program’s commitment to continuous innovation and to providing the best possible academic experience for all students.

With these positive survey results, the Guidance and Counseling Program at UNY is increasingly confident in its role as a center of excellence in education and academic services that is professional, welcoming, and responsive to contemporary challenges.
