The Master’s Programme in Guidance and Counselling at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) is designed to remain responsive to evolving learner needs, technological transformation, and contemporary psychosocial challenges. The curriculum emphasises advanced counselling competence, ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, and research-based intervention—preparing graduates to become both skilled practitioners and reflective leaders.

Alignment with International Standards (CACREP)

The programme’s curriculum development is informed by international quality references, including the CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) framework. In particular, the curriculum is mapped to the Foundational Counseling Curriculum structure to strengthen professional identity, ethical practice, and competence across universal counselor functions.
