Eleven graduate programs at the Graduate School (PPs) of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) have been awarded the Premier Institution status by the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC). The accredited programs include Master’s programs in Applied Linguistics, Educational Management, Educational Research and Evaluation, Guidance and Counseling, Educational Technology, Social Studies Education, Sports Science, and Vocational and Technical Education, as well as Doctoral programs in Educational Management, Educational Research and Evaluation, and Vocational and Technical Education.

ASIC accreditation is an internationally recognized quality standard for schools, colleges, universities, and online learning providers, and it is acknowledged by the UK Home Office. The accreditation process evaluates several key areas, including premises, health and safety, teaching and learning delivery, academic environment, management and staff, quality assurance systems, as well as marketing and recruitment practices.

The clearly defined and objective benchmarking framework of ASIC accreditation provides independent information for students and education professionals. Accreditation by ASIC assists students and parents in making more informed educational choices, while also enabling schools, colleges, universities, training providers, and distance education institutions to demonstrate to the international student community that they meet high-quality institutional standards.
