Yogyakarta, December 30, 2024 — An annual survey conducted by the Master’s Program (S2) in Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Yogyakarta State University (UNY), indicates an excellent level of understanding of the program’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives (VMGO). The overall average comprehension score among respondents reached 95.8 out of a maximum score of 100.

The survey was administered from December 16 to 27, 2024, involving 30 respondents comprising 7 lecturers, 3 administrative staff members, 13 students, and 7 alumni. Each respondent answered eight true–false questions designed to assess their understanding of the program’s institutional identity and strategic development direction.

Based on the collected data, the alumni group achieved the highest average score at 98.21, followed by students (96.15), administrative staff (95.83), and lecturers (92.86). The highest individual score recorded was 100, while the lowest score was 62.5.

The Head of the Master’s Program in Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, UNY, stated that these results serve as a positive indicator that the program’s vision and mission have been comprehensively understood by all stakeholders. “We do not merely aim to disseminate the vision and mission in an administrative sense, but also to ensure that these core values genuinely guide the collective work of the entire academic community,” the Head of the Program explained.

The Master’s Program in Guidance and Counseling at UNY envisions becoming a leading program in the advancement of guidance and counseling knowledge across various educational settings—formal, informal, and nonformal—emphasizing multicultural and comprehensive approaches. This vision is articulated through four main missions: education, research, community service, and the strengthening of professional collaboration networks.

This survey is an integral part of the internal quality assurance system, which is conducted regularly to support the achievement of academic and institutional standards through continuous evaluation.
